e-mail providers designate a maximum file size or maximum total
mailbox capacity. This is often inconvenient when attempting to
send image files to RPI for printing or other output.
To alleviate this problem, we have installed a dedicated FTP server
for our customers who have large files or large quantities of files
to send to RPI for digital imaging services.
What is FTP?
FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol. It makes possible
the transfer of large files or groups of files directly
from one network to another, without the speed and size
restraints imposed by web browsers or e-mail providers.
FTP is also password protected for increased security. A specialized
program called an "FTP Client" is required to use RPI's FTP service.
For your convenience, a simple, shareware client is available for
call or e-mail Ramsay Photo
